Keeshonden

loving canine companions

Behavior: The Keeshond (or “Keeshonden” plural) is a happy, good-natured dog breed. They are known as charming, affectionate, and lively family dogs.

No matter whether your dog is to be a show dog, a performance dog, or a companion dog, all puppies in our litters are brought up with the same level of training, care & attention.

Size: They are medium sized at 30 to 40 pounds, and around 17 to 18 inches tall. Not too big, not too small!

For over 25 years, we have been breeding our dogs for health & success. We breed to the Breed Standard. (A breed standard is a document that serves as a compass or guide for responsible dog breeders to study & follow, when selecting dogs for breeding and accurate representation of the breed.)

Are you looking for a fun-loving and affectionate family dog? Inquire with us to learn more about the Keeshond.

Breeder of Merit

award from american kennel club

How do you know if a dog breeder is “legit” or “responsible”? The American Kennel Club awards dog breeders committed to health and wellness of dogs in a breed, called Breeder of Merit. A Breeder of Merit means that this breeder has dedicated to breeder according to the Breed Standard by having their dogs shown in Conformation dog shows. Enchanted Keeshonden has been a Breeder of Merit for many years, and is now a Bronze level Breeder of Merit, which recognizes a higher number of puppies that have become champions at dog shows. Every dog of Enchanted Keeshonden will have this Breeder of Merit on the AKC registration certificate.

In a world of many mutts and designer crosses of breeds, retaining the genetics of the purebred dog is essential for the survival of these unique dog breeds. Keeshondens are no exception! We are committed to 100% purebred Kees, all the way!
